An Osceola County Sheriff's Detective- Sargent was arraigned on assault and misconduct charges in Osceola County court this week. Officials say the charges against John Keathley stem from a May, 2011 incident when he responded to a domestic disturbance near Evart. While suspect was handcuffed, Keathley allegedly assaulted the suspect. The has been placed on suspension and is expected in court next week

The Big Rapids man who was arrested yesterday after leading police on a foot chase that ended in the Muskegon River was arraigned today. 28-year-old Robert Miller ran from the scene to Hemlock park after being confronted by several police officers and a probation officer. He attempted to swim across the river but eventually came back to shore. After several minutes standing in the water and talking to police, he eventually walked from the river and was arrested.

A 25-year-old Mt. Pleasant man was arrested by Isabella County Sheriff's Deputies last night on a charge of criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 13. Timothy Griffin Crockett was arraigned in Isabella County District Court on 2nd degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a person under 13 years of age, Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes and Indecent Exposure. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted on all charges. Crockett is lodged at the county jail on $150,000 bond.

Police believe they have the man who is suspected in the armed robbery of the West Michigan Credit Union Tuesday. Wexford County Sheriffs Deputies say the 33 year old suspect was arrested in Wexford County. He will be arraigned today in 84th District Court, until then his name is being withheld.

Deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office were called to a reported home invasion and assault on 30th Avenue near Arthur Road early yesterday morning. Upon investigation, it was found the incident stemmed from an earlier assault which had occurred in Isabella County. An 18-year old man from Remus was arrested for home invasion and assault and battery near the scene. His name is being withheld until his arraignment and the incident remains under investigation.
