Deputies in Mecosta County are searching for those who responsible for stealing brass flag holders for the civil war veterans at Highland View Cemetery in Big Rapids Township. Police say were stolen sometime between August 5th and yesterday morning. The flag holders are the last of there kind and are no longer made. Anyone with information is urged to contact Mecosta County Sheriffs Office or Big Rapids Department of Pubic Safety. 

The Reed City Police Department is asking local residents for help in identifying the female in the photograph above. Police believe she may have information in regards to a larceny investigation and are interested in talking with her. The Isabella County Trial Court issued a misdemeanor warrant today for the arrest of Central Michigan University student 19-year-old Deon Lashawn Butler for his involvement in a robbery on March 19, investigated by CMU Police. Butler turned himself into authorities and was arraigned in the Isabella County Trial Court where he was charged with one count of stolen property receiving and concealing $200 or more, but less than $1,000. Butler has been released on $2,000 bond and awaits further court action.

A South Lyon man accused of breaking into a car near Central Michigan's campus was arraigned in Isabella County District Court. 20-year-old Dylan Patrick Pesch is accused of larceny from a motor vehicle and attempted to use a Credit/Debit card at the Meijer in Mt. Pleasant. He has been charged with stealing a financial transaction device, three counts of larceny under $200, breaking and entering into a vehicle to steal property under $200, first degree home invasion, receive and conceal stolen property more than $1000 and less than $20,000, and false pretenses under $200.

A 16 year old Big Rapids man who was arrested for a breaking and entering at Cash Now Outlet Pawn Shop in Big Rapids last week now is being charged with larceny from vehicles that occurred over the past 3 weeks in the city. The Big Rapids DPS says during an investigation officers were able to recover several pieces of property from reported and unreported larcenies from vehicles at the suspects home. The stolen property has been returned to its rightful owners.

Aetna Township residents beware. a pair of larceny complaints are being investigated by the county sheriff. Tuesday morning cops began investigating the theft of a 1997 Viking camping trailer. Sergeant Jason Koepke says someone also stole a yellow 2002 Skidoo MXL 700 snowmobile and trailer. Anyone with info should contact the department.
