Mecosta Twp. Planning Commission issues moratorium on permit for gentlemen's club

A business group in hopes of establishing a gentleman’s club at the former Ruddy Dux Food and Spirits building in Stanwood will have to wait a little bit longer to do so. The Mecosta Township Planning Commission issued a moratorium on the review of a special land use permit Gentleman 131 Inc. applied for meaning, the commission will wait another six months to review all submitted information before making a decision. The business group hopes to create 30 to 40 jobs in the area.

Mecosta Township Planning Commission to hold public hearing on possible topless bar in Stanwood

The Mecosta Township Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing tonight at 7pm for a special land use permit for a sexually oriented business. The applicant is the company Gentlemen 131 Inc. They are currently renovating and looking to establish a topless bar at the building where former Ruddy Dux and Spirits in Stanwood used to be. Investors hope to bring 35-40 jobs to the area. The hearing will be held at the Mecosta Township Hall.

Mecosta Township Planning Commission to hold Public Hearing on application for sexually orientated business

The Mecosta Township Planning Commission will be holding a Public Hearing Tuesday, Oct.4, 2011 at 7pm at the Mecosta Township Hall on an applicant who has requested a special land use permit to operate a sexually orientated business on 20055 8mile Rd. Zoning Administrator for Mecosta Township Gladys Lenard says if residents want  to review a copy of the application or read the zoning ordinace prior to the hearing residents can visit the Mecosta Township Hall during regular business hours.
