Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office Detective Casey Nemeth says one person has been cleared and another is scheduled for a polygraph later this month in the case of missing person Kristin Louise Spires. Spires, who is from Barryton, has been missing since May 14th after being dropped off for a weekend stay in Big Rapids. According to Nemeth, Spires has not been in any contact with friends and family since that weekend. Spires has dyed blonde hair and blue eyes, is about 5-foot-3, and weighs 140 pounds. She has a tattoo on her right calf depicting a red heart with blue wings and the words “Allee 1993-2005.” Nemeth says the tips are still coming in regularly and the case is still under investigation.Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Mecosta County Sheriff’s office at (231) 592-0150.
