The Kent County Department of Human Services office in Grand Rapids was put on a brief lockdown Friday morning after a white powdery substance was found in an envelope. Workers were kept inside the building and no one was allowed to enter for around an hour while the situation was resolved. The Grand Rapids Fire Department's experts determined the substance was cream of wheat breakfast cereal. Police will investigate to determine if it was an intentional hoax or an accidental situation.
