"Non-Specific" bomb threat made on Ferris State's Big Rapids campus

Ferris State University Public Safety officials are investigating a “non-specific” bomb threat phone message that was received after 8 a.m. this morning (Thursday, Jan. 12) in the Business Office in the Timme Center for Student Services on the Big Rapids campus. According to a Ferris Officials, there were no details in the message as to time or location of the bomb threat. Also, there is no reason to believe that the threat is tied to any specific event or circumstance. Public Safety personnel are investigating. They also are conducting building searches across campus. Faculty, staff and students are directed to report any suspicious activity immediately to Public Safety at (231) 591-5000. The University has not closed any buildings at this time. (Ferris.edu)
