Deputies investigate attempted abduction of little girl in Montcalm Co.

Deputies in Montcalm Co. are investigating an attempted abduction of an 8-year old Howard City girl Sunday. Police say it happened on Amy School Road in Reynolds Township where the girl was walking to a friend’s house when she was approached by a male subject. The man reportedly told the girl that her Aunt was in the Hospital and to “get in”. The girl refused and continued on to her destination, while the suspect vehicle left southbound The suspect is described as a heavy set male in his late twenties or early thirties, is bald with a beard. He was observed wearing a black tank top, and a camouflage zip up hooded sweatshirt. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a newer full sized Red pickup with a standard cab, possibly a The girl was not harmed during this incident, and the Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
