Monique McDiarmid age 57, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 following a long battle with cancer, she was surrounded by her loved ones. Monique was born on January 8, 1959 in Saginaw Michigan the daughter of William and Doris (McFarland) Clark.
Monique enjoyed the simple things in life. Summers at the family farm and being surrounded by her loving family was what brought joy to her life. Most importantly, Monique always made sure her daughter and husband were well taken care of. Her hope was to inspire others as she showed amazing courage during her battle with cancer.
Monique was a one-of-a-kind woman that was wonderful at making memories with those she loved. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Doris Clark in 2003.
Monique will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind, her daughter, Megan; her husband Tim; her father William Clark; brother Jerry; step-son, Brian; step-daughter, Brenda; nieces, Lindsey, Leah, Jacquelyn; nephews, David, Jeremy, Jonah and many other loved ones.
Funeral services will take place 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 25th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Harold Gilkerson officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, August 24th from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw.
Memorial contributions in Monique’s name may be given to her family.
