She was born July 9, 1937 to Frank and Vernie (Strait) Ziemba in Muskegon and was raised in White Cloud and attended White Cloud area schools. As an avid fan of music, she loved to sing and was a self-taught player of numerous instruments including the guitar, organ, and accordion. Trixie was committed to helping returning members of the armed forces, and with help from sister members of the auxiliary, she constructed thousands of bookmarks and knitted afghan’s for wounded veterans for many years.
