Wexford County has a new sheriff in town.

Trent Taylor was sworn in Monday as Wexford County's Sheriff.

He takes over for retiring Sheriff Gary Finstrom.

Taylor was most recently the undersheriff in Wexford County and started his career with the office in 1992.

He officially takes over Jan. 1.
