More than 100 people showed up at a meeting about Chronic Wasting Disease in Big Rapids last night since two deer at a Mecosta County farm tested positive for the disease.
The DNR and the Department of Agriculture hosted an open house for farmers.
There are concerns the disease is in the free range population and they'd like to test three thousand deer.
A second open house on CWD will be held at Morley-Stanwood High School February 22nd at 6pm.
