A Rose Lake Township man is recovering after an explosion occurred at his home Wednesday night.

Deputies in Osceola County say when they arrived to the scene; they discovered several windows at the home blown out along with the front door several yards away from the residence.

Police located a man inside the home covered in blood.

Deputies learned that the man was trying to light a hot water heater when an explosion occurred.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.
