Two separate car accidents send drivers to hospital

 

A Baldwin woman is recovering after a rollover accident in Mecosta County over the weekend.

 

Deputies say the 35-year old driver was heading southbound on Northland Dr Saturday when she lost control and rolled her vehicle.

 

She was trapped inside and  Big Rapids Fire Department had to free her.   

 

She was taken to Spectrum Big Rapids Hospital for non life threatening injuries.

 

Meanwhile, an elderly Stanwood woman suffered non-life threatening injuries after hitting a tree with her vehicle in Mecosta County Sunday morning.

 

Police say they were called to Clubhouse Drive in Canadian Lakes where an 86-year old woman said she became distracted and ran into a tree.

 

The elderly driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
