Fmr. Greenville Public Safety Director sentenced to jail on health care fraud charges

 

A former public safety director in west Michigan is going to jail for health care fraud. Former Greenville public safety director Mark Reiss has been sentenced to 60 days in jail, with 30 days suspended.

 

He and his ex wife Christine were accused of defrauding Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan out of $113,000 dollars. They divorced in 2014, but she remained on his city provided insurance.

 

Reiss will serve his sentence on weekends at the Montcalm County Jail.

 

His ex wife was sentenced to 50 days in jail, which she has already served.
