An alleged drunk driver caused a power outage Osceola County's LeRoy Township Saturday night.

Deputies say it happened at the intersection of 12 mile road and 190^th Avenue, that's where the driver failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road, striking a tree then overturned and hit a power poll and some power lines causing the electric outage.

The driver, a LeRoy man, was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation however speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
