Stanwood woman suffers injuries after car accident in Big Rapids Township

A Stanwood woman is recovering after receiving minor injuries following a car accident in Mecosta County's Big Rapids Township.

It happened Wednesday afternoon on Northland Drive just north of 12 Mile Rd.

Deputies say a southbound vehicle, driven by a 28-year-old Stanwood woman, stopped for a car turning and was rear-ended by another southbound car, driven by a 22-year-old Big Rapids man.

The Stanwood woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
