The 19-2 Big Rapids Cardinals host the 20-0 Central Montcalm Hornets in Round 2 of District 61 Playoffs tonight @ 7:30pm.

The Hornets are the only team to beat Big Rapids this season winning game 1 January 12 at Central Montcalm 48-39 & game 2 at Big Rapids February 16 45-38.

Central Montcalm is ranked 5th in Class B Girls Basketball in the State of Michigan according to Maxpreps.

The Cardinals on the other hand are feeling pretty good about their chances tonight coming off a statement win over the 15-5 Alma Panthers Monday night in round 1 of District 61 play. Led by the senior leadership of Kaitlyn Ray and Leah Morningstar plus yet another Jayla Strickland double-double, the Cardinals ended the Panther season with a 50-28 win.
