A fire in Fork Township in Mecosta County has killed several cats and dogs and destroyed the home.

According to the Mecosta Co. Sheriff's Office, the fire broke out Wednesday afternoon.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
