Ferris State Upsets Second-Seeded Michigan Tech In GLIAC Women's Basketball Tournament

The Ferris State University women's basketball team kept its season alive as the Bulldogs upset second-seeded Michigan Tech 67-57 in the quarterfinal-round of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament on Wednesday (Feb. 28) night in Houghton.

Ferris State was led by its senior class as veteran guard Leah Humes had 19 points in the victory while senior center Rachel McInerney had 16 points along with 14 rebounds in a double-double showing. FSU also got 13 points from freshman guard Shaniya Huggins in the triumph.
