One man is dead while one woman is fighting for her life in Isabella County.

Sheriff Michael Main says officers received a call from a man who said he shot his wife.

When deputies arrived to the scene, they found a 68-year old man on the floor dead and his 66-year old wife shot multiple times.

Police say a weapon was also on the floor next to him.

It happened south of Blanchard at the intersection of South Brinton Road and Jerseyville roads.

The woman was taken to a Grand Rapids area hospital, and her condition is unknown at this time.
