Voters in the Big Rapids Public and Morley-Stanwood Community School Districts passed its proposed annual operating millage renewals during Tuesday's election.
However, it was a new bond proposal by BRPS that had everyone talking in recent weeks.
Voters approved the 2.35 mill bond proposal by only 68 votes; 1,313-1,245.
With the approval by voters, $2.35 cents for every $1,000 of taxable value will be levied per year in order to pay for renovations/upgrades to current buildings and athletic facilities as well as upgrading technology in the BRPS district.
