Along with the DNR's free fishing weekend, local residents will be able to take part in Mecosta County Parks 3rd annual open house this Saturday and Sunday.

Parks Superintendent Jeff Abel says daily vehicle and boat fees will be waived at each county park allowing free day use of the facilities. He adds that residents visiting the parks this weekend can take advantage of many upgrades including a visit to the new campground store at School Section Lake Park or the new kids activity building at Brower Park.

Free Wi-Fi is now available at School Section Lake Park as well.

Information on each park is available through the parks website at: www.MecostaCountyParks.com
