A 20-year old Reed City man is facing life in prison following his arraignment in Osceola County on charges of attempted murder and home invasion.

According to the Michigan State Police, last week, troopers responded to a 911 call about a man acting erratically on a property in Richmond Township.

Upon arrival, troopers arrested 20-year-old Sabastian L. Ranjel,who was identified by witnesses as being involved in an assault on an elderly man.

Further investigation led troopers to an 80-year-old man with a stab wound to his neck.

Ranjel is being held on $15-million dollars bond.
