Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

With the recent news of scientists announcing it could take them as little as five years to create a real dinosaur, I thought it would be a good idea to watch the latest installment of the 25 year old dinosaur franchise, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom at Big Rapids' Bulldog Cinema to see if it gives any insight on if this would be a good idea by scientists... spoiler alert, it's not.

 

The movie begins four years after the Jurassic World theme park was closed down, Owen (played by Chris Pratt) and Claire (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) return to Isla Nublar to save the dinosaurs when they learn that a once dormant volcano on the island is active and is threatening to extinguish all life there. Along the way, Owen sets out to find Blue, his lead raptor, and discovers a conspiracy that could disrupt the natural order of the entire planet.

 

Coming into this movie, I'd heard some mixed reviews by critics some saying its awesome and others saying its awful. But after watching it, I thought this was a great movie, in my opinion a great sequel to is predecessor Jurassic World.

 

This movie has everything you want comedy, action, drama, romance.

 

What stands out in my mind, especially with what I said earlier about scientists announcing advancement in possibly cloning dinosaurs, certain situations in this movie I could totally see happening in real life.

 

The film also ends with the possibility of a third installment.

 

 

The movie being PG-13, It does have some scary scenes that would probably not be appropriate for young kids.

 

 

With all that said, this is a great summer movie to take the family to or maybe a date.

 

 

I give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars!
