A Manistee man is dead following a traffic accident up in Osceola County.

It happened Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Mackinaw Trail and 20 Mile Rd. in Burdell Twp.

Deputies say a 75-year old Reed City man was traveling westbound on 20 Mile Rd in a Ford Fusion when he stopped at the intersection of Mackinaw Trail and then continued westbound into the path of a Harley Davidson motorcycle being ridden by a 68-year old Manistee man.

The Manistee man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Fusion was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
