The search for a missing west Michigan jail inmate concluded after the man crashed a stolen motorcycle.

32-year-old Ian Riley-Jackson Davis escaped custody at Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont Tuesday.

He stole a motorcycle and crashed it into the side on an oil tanker truck.

Davis was injured and had been originally in jail on multiple felony charges.

Newaygo County Sheriff Bob Mendham plans an internal investigation into how he escaped.
