The string of heavy thunderstorms and winds that swept through the area last night has left just 4,200 home and businesses without power this morning in Mecosta Co.

Consumer Energy Officials say crews have been assigned to the affected areas, power is expected to be restored by the latest Friday at 11:30pm.

As for those affected that have Great Lakes Energy as a provider, 773 are without electricity. No timetable for restoration yet.
