A 21-year old man from Lakeview is OK after falling asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle and submerging it in a pond here in Mecosta County.

It happened on 85th Ave. near Eisenhower Rd, in Hinton Twp.

Deputies say the Lakeview man fell asleep, ran off the road to the left striking two mailboxes, power pole guide wire and a fence continuing into a pond submerging the vehicle completely. 

The driver had reported no injuries and refused medical treatment.
