Police in Mecosta County believe alcohol was a factor in a two car accident that occurred Monday evening.

 

It happened in Morton Township, on 105^th Avenue just north of Buchanan Road.

 

Deputies say an investigation found an intoxicated driver lost control of his vehicle, and hit a northbound vehicle.

 

The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 57-year old woman, received minor injuries and was taken to Spectrum Health Big Rapids for treatment.

 

The intoxicated male driver also resisted arrest and assaulted police officers.

 

He is getting treatment at the hospital.
