Alcohol suspected in early morning rollover accident in Mecosta Township

A Big Rapids man was taken to the hospital early this morning following a rollover accident in Mecosta County's Mecosta Township.

It happened just before 3am on Park Road, deputies say the 24-year old driver was traveling eastbound on Park Road when he lost control of his vehicle ran off the right side of the road and stuck two parked cars and a utility pole before overturning on the front lawn of a residence.

The Big Rapids man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Alcohol is suspected in the crash.
