A 62-year old downstate man is dead following an ORV accident Sunday in Osceola County.
The Sheriff's Office says they received a call for a well being check for a man who left his cabin in Shelby Township just after 10am to head to his hunting property in Cedar Township but had not been heard from since.
Deputies canvassed the area and located the man and the ORV on a trail a short distance from the cabin.
It appears the man rolled the ORV down an embankment pinning the man against a tree.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing; however alcohol is not believed to be a factor and the man was not wearing a helmet.
