Man airlifted after dirt bike accident in Mecosta Co.

A 38-year old man suffered life threatening injuries following a dirt bike accident in Deerfield Township.

Mecosta County Sheriff Deputies say it happened on Northland Drive near four mile road where a 38-year old man lost control of the dirt bike, went off the road and struck a tree.

The man was not wearing a helmet.

He was airlifted by AeroMed to a Grand Rapids hospital for treatment of his injuries.
