One driver was arrested for suspected drunk driving after a two-car accident on US-131 near 11 Mile Rd. in Mecosta County.

Deputies say the two vehicles involved swerved to avoid a third vehicle that was travelling northbound in the southbound lane. 

The third vehicle continued northbound and was subsequently stopped by a MI DNR officer and the driver was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol.   

A 54-year-old male from Newaygo in one of the first 2 vehicles was transported to the Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
