Reed City Police Blotter: Jan.21st- 24th

The following incidents being reported by the Reed City Police Dept. took place between January 21st thru 24th.

 

1/21


Officers were dispatched the scene of a 2-vehicle property damage accident in a parking lot. Minor damage and no injuries were reported.


Officers took a report of a 40 year old male who was seen driving away from a court appearance for having a suspended license. A warrant will be sought for again driving on a suspended license.


Officers took a report of a found wallet. The wallet contained a small baggie of suspected meth. The matter is under investigation.

Officers were dispatched to the Osceola County Probation; Parole Office in regards to 22 year of female who was in violation of her parole by testing positive for drugs. She was place under arrest and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.


Officers received a harassment complaint between neighbors. The Officers spoke with the neighbor who
admitted to trying to make the neighbor angry and stated he would stop. He understood that if he continued, he could face harassment charges.

Officers were dispatched to check the welfare of 3 children. The mother had brought them to a medical
facility to be checked for fleas believing bugs were crawling on her skin. It is believed the mother’s behavior was due to drug use. The children were turned over to family and the matter referred to CPS as the family was from a neighboring county.


Officers were dispatched to local retail business regarding retail fraud. A warrant has been requested for the suspect.

Officers were dispatched to respond to an assault complaint between juveniles. The Officer made contact
with the accused juvenile’s Probation Officer, who stated he was on house arrest and a Probation Officer
would respond and follow up on the matter.


Officers were dispatched to Spectrum Health Hospital regarding a complaint from staff of a juvenile patient
that had run from his hospital room, out the door and down Patterson road. The responding Officer located the juvenile and transported him back to the hospital.


Officers were dispatched to a vehicle that had run off the road and hit a tree. No injuries were reported.
