A 14-year old Grant Township girl is behind bars after being accused of stabbing a 14-year old Big Rapids Township girl multiple times. 

 

Mecosta County Sheriff's Office Detective Casey Nemeth says the 14-year old suspect was arrested on multiple charges including attempted 1st degree murder. 

 

Nemeth says the suspect is alleged to have used multiple weapons to stab a Big Rapids Township 14-year old girl in a plot to murder her on the suspect's family property in Grant Township. 

 

The victim was transported to Grand Rapids by Aeromed for treatment for her life-threating injuries.

 

The juvenile suspect remains in custody awaiting probate court action.
