Road construction on M-66 expected to last until July

Construction work on M-66 in Mecosta County will begin this morning.

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the $1.5 million dollar road project on M-66 from Six Lakes to Barryton will focus on shoulder repairs, crack sealing, and chip sealing.

Locally, the two M-66 segments are between M-46 and Church Street in Remus and between 20 Mile Road near Barryton and the north Mecosta County line.

Construction is expected to last until July.
