COVID-19 restrictions extended another 12 days

The Whitmer administration extended a partial shutdown of businesses and schools for an additional 12 days through December 20th to stem the latest wave of coronavirus cases across the state.

The governor says the extra time will help determine the extent of infections from the Thanksgiving holiday.

Indoor instruction at high schools and college, indoor dining at restaurants and organized sports remain off-limits, along with theaters, bowling alleys and other entertainment venues.

The current shutdown was to expire today.

Meanwhile,  the District Health Department announced a new death in Mecosta County related to COVID-19 on Monday.
