A Ferris State University student succumbed to injuries from an apartment fire on campus last month.

Alisha Jaynes was found in the apartment bathroom unconscious by first repsonders January 17th.

She was treated for burn and smoke inhalation, but authorities say the 22-year-old woman had medical setbacks from her injuries.

Jaynes passed away Monday at a Grand Rapids hospital.
