A Stanwood man is recovering following a one vehicle crash in Mecosta County.

It happened Tuesday evening around 6:30pm, deputies say a 20-year old driver was traveling 11 Mile Rd near 215^th Ave. when he ran off the road, struck a ditch, over-corrected then struck a tree and went down an embankment.

The Stanwood man was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries where he was treated and later released.
