Big Rapids area residents will soon be able to receive multiple outpatient services in one convenient location at the Corewell Health™, formerly Spectrum Health, Big Rapids Care Center being constructed on 215 th Avenue next to Menards.
The 33,000-square-foot, state-of-the art facility will have central registration and relocate the
Big Rapids Family Medicine practice, outpatient rehabilitation, occupational health and lab from
their current locations and provide space for specialty care services.
The first Corewell Health Urgent Care in the area will also be at the site. Located near the 131
expressway, the facility will provide convenient access to patients.
“We are so excited to open this facility for the community and our team members,” said Andrea
Leslie, president of Corewell Health Big Rapids, Reed City, Greenville and Kelsey Hospitals.
“We have a large group of team members who are busy planning for the summer opening and
construction is going very well.”
Peter Macdonald, MD, a longtime family medicine provider at Big Rapids Family Medicine, is
excited to move into the new facility.
This is a quantum leap in our growth to better serve the Big Rapids area community,” Dr.
Macdonald said. Having multiple services under one roof in a state-of-the-art facility will make
it easier to provide exceptional care.”
The facility, which is scheduled to open in August, will open with Spectrum Health signage that
will transition to Corewell Health at a later date.
