The Big Rapids Township Supervisor delivered his 'State of the Township' address last night.

 

Bill Stanek touched on a number of township accomplishments over the last ten years of his tenure including improving roads, the township getting out of over $1-million dollars of financial debt, improving the township sewer system and new construction in the area.

 

Stanek also discussed current issues being addressed including maintaining township roads, remodling of the township hall building, new fencing around the baseball fields, new dugouts and improvement work around Highbanks Park.

 

Finally, Stanek spoke about the potential of having advanced battery manufacturer, Gotion Inc. coming to the industrial park giving his support behind the project and quoting Ferris State President Dr. Bill Pink saying “This is an opportunity that most communities would give anything to have.”
