One person dead; another injured following two vehicle crash in Lake Co.

One person is dead the other injured following a two car crash in Lake County over the weekend.

It happened Saturday afternoon, on US-10 and Depot Street in Chase Township.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office says two people were airlifted to Grand Rapids from the scene. One of those patients passed away at the hospital as a result of injuries sustained from the crash. At this time there is no indication that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
