On Sunday, June 2 at approximately 7:50 P.M., deputies were dispatched to 30^th Avenue at 15 Mile Road in Sheridan Township for an accident involving a car and a pedestrian.

The investigation found that a 64-year-old male from Remus was riding his bike on 30^th Avenue when a vehicle traveling North tried to pass the bicyclist. The bicyclist tried changing lanes in front of the vehicle causing the vehicle’s bumper to hit the bicyclist back tire. 

The 64-year-old male was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies were assisted on scene by Mecosta County EMS, Fork Fire/Rescue, Meceola Central Dispatch.
