The event will kick off at 6 P.M. on Saturday, Feb. 15, with Ferris State's men’s hockey team competing against Lake Superior State University, followed by the women's basketball team taking the court with the Purdue Northwest women's team at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday, Feb. 20, and the men’s basketball team competing against Purdue Northwest following at 7:30 P.M.
All three athletic events will include opportunities to donate to the Corewell Health Big Rapids Women's Cardiac Unit. Fans will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction throughout the duration of the event with proceeds benefiting Corewell Health. There will also be a check presentation during the hockey game.
Participants of the event are also encouraged to wear red to bring awareness for women's heart health. Ferris' athletics teams will be wearing their red jerseys to support the event's cause.
Ferris State's "Red Out the Rink and the Wink" event is planned and orchestrated by the seniors in Sports Communication program. These students will be available during the event for questions and assistance.
