Reed City Police: Weekly Blotter (2/10 - 2/16)

Monday, Feb. 10
  • An officer investigated a possible M.D.O.P. to a vehicle window. This incident is open for further investigation.
  • An officer conducted a well-being check on an employee who recently had their employment terminated.

Tuesday, Feb. 11

  • An officer was dispatched to a heated civil matter between family members. Upon arrival, the scene was
    secured and it was determined that this incident was a verbal argument. The officer stood by while one
    party gathered personal belongings and left the residence voluntarily.

  • Officers conducted traffic enforcement for various infractions.

Wednesday, Feb. 12

  • An officer was dispatched to check the wellbeing of a resident, as yelling and arguing was heard emitting
    from an apartment. Upon arrival, the officer contacted one resident who reported a verbal argument with an
    acquaintance. The officer issued a verbal warning for the noise issue.
  • An officer was dispatched to check the welfare of a suicidal subject. Upon arrival, the scene was secured
    and the subject was determined to be a danger to themselves. The subject was then transported to the
    hospital for a mental health evaluation.
  • An officer investigated a complaint regarding the selling of narcotics. Through investigation, the suspect
    was identified and said report sent to the prosecutor’s office for multiple charges.

Thursday, Feb. 13

  • An officer investigated an ordinance violation concerning an improperly installed privacy fence.

  • Officers conducted a well-being check on a subject who appeared to be depressed. Upon arrival, contact was made and the subject was fine.

Friday, Feb. 14

  • An officer performed a well being check on an individual who was believed to be too young to be home alone. The matter was unfounded.

  • An officer was dispatched to a two-car crash. The vehicles had minor damage and no injuries were reported.

  • An officer was dispatched to an injured deer in the roadway. Prior to the officer arriving, a second vehicle struck the deer and it became deceased. The deer was removed from the roadway.

Saturday, Feb. 15

  • An officer investigated a complaint regarding excessive noise coming from an apartment.

  • Officers conducted traffic enforcement for various traffic related infractions.

Sunday, Feb. 16

  • An officer assisted hospital staff with a combative mental patient.

  • An officer investigated a road-run-off complaint.
