Pine River Middle School and High School was placed in a HOLD on Thursday following a reported threatening statement found within the high school.
Law enforcement swiftly responded to the scene, with Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, and Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police assisting in the investigation. Multiple K-9 units were deployed to conduct a thorough search. After careful assessment, authorities determined it was safe to resume normal activities, and students and staff were allowed to continue their school day.
Law enforcement agencies will continue to investigate the incident to ensure the ongoing safety of the school community.
