On Saturday, Feb. 22 at approximately 5:03 P.M., deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on 30th Ave. and 20 Mile Rd. in Barryton.
The investigation found that a vehicle, driven by a 40-year-old female from Barryton, was heading westbound on 20 Mile Rd. and failed to yield to a vehicle heading northbound on 30th Ave and collided into it. The other vehicle was driven by a 35-year-old female from Sears.
The 40-year-old female driver and her 34-year-old male passenger in the first vehicle were both transported to Corwell Health for non-life-threatening injuries. The 35-year-old female driver and 7- and 8-year-old passengers from the second vehicle were transported to Mt. Pleasant for non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies were assisted by Mecosta County EMS and Barryton Fire and Rescue.
