Evart Police: Weekly Blotter (2/10 - 2/23)

Monday, Feb. 10

  • Civil – Officers were dispatched to a local residence for a possible criminal complaint. After investigating the complaint, it was determined to be a civil issue.  

Tuesday, Feb. 11

  • No incidents reported.

Wednesday, Feb. 12

  • 911 Hang Up – Officers were requested by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department to assist in locating a subject that fled the scene on foot. K9 Koda was deployed and the subject was safely located and placed into custody without incident. 

Thursday, Feb. 13

  • No incidents reported.

Friday, Feb. 14

  • Private Property Damage Accident – Officers were dispatched to investigate a private property damage accident at a local business.

Saturday, Feb. 15

  • No incidents reported.

Sunday, Feb. 16

  • No incidents reported.

Monday, Feb. 17

  • Traffic Stop – Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense. The driver was operating on a suspended license. The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation and the vehicle was released to a valid driver.  

Tuesday, Feb. 18

  • Fraud – Officer received a fraud complaint. The complaint remains open pending further investigation.

Wednesday, Feb. 19

  • No incidents reported.

Thursday, Feb. 20

  • Truancy – Officers were dispatched to the public library for three middle school students who were skipping school. The students left prior to the officers arrival, but were found a few blocks away. The school was notified that the students were found and the students were turned over to their parents.

  • Civil – Officer was dispatched to the elementary school for a civil complaint.  The complaint was resolved without additional issues.

  • Assist CPS – Officers were requested by CPS to stand by with them while they conducted follow up investigation interviews.

Friday, Feb. 21

  • Traffic Stop – Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense.  The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation and the vehicle was released to a valid driver.

Saturday, Feb. 22

  • Criminal Sexual Conduct – Officers received a CSC complaint from centralized intake. The complaint remains under investigation. 

  • Miscellaneous – An officer was dispatched to investigate a threats complaint involving a threat against a subject being made over social media.

Sunday, Feb. 23

  • 911 Hang Up – Officers were dispatched for a medical call.
  • Check Wellbeing - An officer was dispatched for a check wellbeing. The subject was located, and they did not require any services.
