Isabella County Senior Citizens Services Millage Renewal Proposal

For the purpose of continuing funding of services and activities for older persons within Isabella County, including planning, coordinating, and funding the
continuation of the Isabella County Commission on Aging services and programming at the same rate approved by the voters in 2016, shall the previously approved millage be renewed by up to 1.00 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of Taxable Value) for a period of ten (10) years (2026-2035) inclusive? If approved and levied in full, this millage will raise an estimated $2,829,633 for the countywide senior citizens services and facilities in the first calendar year of the levy. In accordance with State law, a small portion of the millage may also be disbursed to the Downtown Development Authorities of the City of Mt. Pleasant,
and Union Township; the Tax Increment Finance Authorities of the City of Mt. Pleasant; and the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority of the City of Mt.
Pleasant.
Chippewa Hills School District Operating Millage Renewal Proposal
Broomfield TWP, Coldwater TWP, Deerfield TWP, Nottawa TWP, Sherman TWP

This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance. The remaining 1.5 mills are only available to be levied to restore millage lost as a reduction required by the Michigan Constitution of 1963 and will only be levied to the extent necessary to restore that reduction.

Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, in Chippewa Hills School District, Mecosta, Isabella and Osceola Counties, Michigan, be increased by 19.5 mills ($19.50 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 4 years, 2027 to 2030, inclusive, to provide funds for operating purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and 18 mills are levied in 2027 is approximately $11,206,613 (this is a renewal of millage that expired with the 2026 tax levy)?

This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the rate of not to exceed 17.6344 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance and renews millage that will expire with the 2026 tax levy.

For the purpose of providing fire protection for Deerfield Township, shall the expired previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Deerfield Township, of One (1) Mill ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value), reduced to 0.9811 mills ($0.9811 per $1,000.00 of Taxable Value) by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed at and increased up to the original voted One (1) Mill ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of Taxable Value) and levied for Six (6) Years 2026 through 2031 inclusive, the estimated revenue for the first year of collection is, (One Hundred Seventy One Thousand Six Hundred Ten Dollars and Fifty Four Cents) ($171,610.54).
Sherman Township Library Services Millage Proposal

Shall the expired previous voted increase in the tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and Sherman Township of 0.75 mil ($0.75 per $1000 of taxable value) reduced to 0.7241 mills ($.7241 per $1000 of taxable value) by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed at and increased up to the original voted .75 mil ($0.75 per $1000 of taxable value) and levied for 6 years, 2026 through 2031 inclusive, for the purpose of funding and operation of the Sherman Township Library within Sherman Township, raising an estimated $110,872.33 in the first year the millage is levied.

Shall the Wise Township Board be authorized to increase the general ad valorem taxes within Wise Township imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution by up to 1.56 mills (per 1,000 of taxable value) for 4 years for provision of mosquito abatement services thereby raising in the first year an estimated ($81,569.77) to be collected in 2026.
