Two men from Isabella County were shot Friday night at a residence in Sheridan Township.
The incident occurred about 10:58 p.m. After investigating at the scene, deputies determined that a Lansing man was involved in a physical and verbal altercation with the two men from Isabella County. As tensions escalated, the Lansing man shot both men and fled the scene.
Both men were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to unconfirmed online reports, a suspect has been identified and has family connections in Isabella and Mecosta counties.
“The suspect was last known to be back in the Lansing area,” deputies said.
No additional details have been released at this time. Attempts have been made to contact the Michigan State Police.
